2024 Kids & Teen Cooking Camps

What a great opportunity for kids this summer!

Does your child refer to extra virgin olive oil as E.V.O.O and do they HAVE to be home to watch the latest episode of “Chopped” ? If so, you may have a budding chef or cheffette on your hands! If your child loves to help you prepare dinner in the kitchen or is advanced enough to cook an entire meal, please fuel that passion by sending them to summer cooking camp at The Kitchen Workshop! Our summer programs will introduce your child to many aspects of the culinary and baking worlds. Along with knife skills, nutrition, kitchen sanitation and safety, your child will spend a week cooking dishes “hands-on.”

Each camp is just $370.00 for the week and includes all food, recipes and great memories!

2024 SUMMER COOKING AND BAKING CAMPS

Kids Can Cook! (10am—1pm)

Ages: 11 and up
This week is a good start to the basics of cooking. Proper measuring techniques and knife skills will be taught along with kitchen safety. All recipes that will be taught in class can be easily duplicated for the kids to recreate for their families at home. Even if your child has a working knowledge of cooking in the kitchen at home, this week of camp is perfect for them to learn the right way to navigate the home kitchen and get a good grounding on many basic culinary elements. Perfect for all ages and skill levels!

Camp #9 ~ 8/26/24 - 8/30/24

Kids Can Bake! (10am-1pm)

Ages: 11 and up
If your child is more of a baker, then this is the week of camp for them. Along with proper measuring techniques and an introduction to baking ingredients and their differences, both sweet and savory items will be made throughout this tasty week of camp. Pies, scones, pizza and many more baked delights will be made during the week of this unforgettable camp.

Camp #8 ~ 8/19/24 - 8/23/24

International Cooking Camp (10am-1pm)

Ages: 11 and up
For the more adventurous child with a global tongue, no camp could be more perfect! Your child will take a magic carpet ride via a dinner plate. We’ll visit Mexico, Italy, Thailand and several other countries learning about indigenous ingredients and techniques specific to those countries. As a sample, they will learn to make pasta and tortillas from scratch. This is a summer camp that I would have liked to attend when I was a kid!

There will be ample leftovers for the kids to take home for their families to enjoy after every day of camp.

All camps are hands-on with a maximum of 10 students in each camp in an adult supervised environment.
